📖 Luke 17:32 — "Remember Lot's wife."
Jesus gives us a short but powerful command — Remember Lot’s wife. Her story is a solemn warning for us today: don't look back. Don't turn your heart back to the old life once God has called you forward.

📖 Genesis 19:15-26 — The story of Lot and his family fleeing Sodom and Gomorrah.
⚡ Whatever sin you can think of — immorality, violence, pride — it was rampant in Sodom and Gomorrah.
⚡ God, in His mercy, warned Lot to flee destruction. But Lot hesitated because he had grown attached to his life there. (Genesis 19:16)
⚡ And tragically, Lot’s wife looked back, longing for what she was leaving behind — and she lost her life. (Genesis 19:26)
3 Mistakes Lot’s Wife Made That We Must Avoid:
1. She Disregarded God’s Knowledge
📖 Genesis 19:17 — "Escape for your life. Do not look behind you..."
➔ God knows best. When He gives us a command, it’s for our protection, not our restriction. Lot’s wife thought she knew better — and it cost her everything.
2. She Disregarded God’s Grace
📖 Genesis 14 — God had already rescued Lot before (Genesis 14).
➔ She had seen God's hand of deliverance before, yet she treated it lightly.
➔ You and I are saved only because of the grace of God! We didn’t earn it — He chose us and loved us freely.
➔ How many of you are thankful for the grace of God today? 🙌
3. She Disregarded the Future
📖 Genesis 19:22 — God had prepared a place of safety for them.
➔ Instead of looking ahead to the new life God was offering, Lot's wife clung to her past.
➔ Don’t let the memory of the past make you miss the miracle of your future!
Powerful Truths to Remember:
Luke 17:33 — "Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it."
Luke 9:62 — "No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God."
➔ We are called to move forward in faith — not stuck between the past and the future.
➔ God has greater things ahead for those who trust Him completely!
